St. Mary's CE Primary School is situated in a delightful village not far from the Shropshire town of Shrewsbury, UK. We are very proud or our school, it's children and staff. Shawbury Stars Childcare provide our extended services at school. This includes a Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club. All clubs offer a range of activities for children aged 3 years to 11 years. The clubs are staffed by qualified staff, most of whom also work in the school during the day. Staff hold qualifications in Food Hygiene, First Aid and Child Protection. Please call in and see us, or pick up a parent pack for more information.

Shawbury Stars are based in our school community room, providing a more homely setting for children to relax in before and after school and during school holiday club, including cooking facilities, a dining table, sofas and a games room.

Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am. Children are offered a choice of breakfast comprising: cereal, toast, bagel, muffin and juice. This menu may vary slightly on a daily basis. Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 8.10am. After breakfast the children can then choose an activity they wish to do. We often play games outside or in our room. The cost for Breakfast Club is £3 per morning, or £12 per week if you attend all 5 mornings. At the end of each term we offer a ‘Special’ breakfast, which could be a Full English breakfast, a chocolate breakfast or something else. After School Club starts at 3.10pm. Children are offered a drink and snack on arriving at the club. There are a range of activities on offer from gardening to cooking, arts and craft to sports and games. The children get time to choose their own activity and there is always a planned group activity everyday. For children staying from 5pm to 6pm they will be given a snack tea. This could comprise, for example, of bacon baguettes, pasta bake, jacket potato etc. The cost for after school club is £3 per hour or £7.50 if your child stays until 6pm.
Holiday Club is open most school holidays . Booking forms and activity sheets will be available on the school web-site around 3 weeks prior to the holiday starting. We organise a huge range of activities for the holidays, including arts and craft, cooking, sports and games, films, gardening, trips around village and trips further afield. The cost of holiday club is £10 for half a day, £15 for a 9am—4pm session or £18 for a 7.30am—5.30pm session.
